Man arrested for illegal fire arm and drugs

On Sunday December 30th 2018 in the evening hours during a routine control by police a male suspect identified with initials D.C. was arrested by police after a fire-arm was found in his vehicle. The suspect could not give an acceptable explanation to whom the fire-arm belongs.  During a search at the home of the suspect a consirable amount compressed marihuana was found. The firearm and drugs were both confiscated for further investigation. The suspect also remains in custody for further investigation.

Two murder suspects turn themselves in

On Wednesday, January 2nd in the morning hours, two males suspects in the murder investigation at the “El Capitan Night” on December 31st  identified with initials D.J.O. and S.R. turned themselves in at the Police Head Quarters in Philipsburg. Both suspects were immediately arrested and placed into custody for further investigation.

Former police-officer dies at his home

On Wednesday morning January 2nd police was sent Wellington road at the home of the former police officer Jermain Arrindell where he was found not giving any signs of life. On the scene the doctor stated that the victim had died of natural causes. An investigation done by police on the scene did not indicate any signs of foul play.

The police management and staff extend sincere words of condolences to the family and friends of Jermain Arrindell.
