Construction worker robbed
Detectives of the Special Unit Robbery are presently investigating an armed robbery which took place on Monday November 19th at approximately 04.15 p.m. on the Billy Folly road. The victim is construction-working who was walking from work on the Billy Folly road when he was approached by two young men riding a scooter. One of the suspects pulled a gun and threatened to use it if the victim did not hand over his wallet. Fearing for his life the victim handed over his wallet containing some cash and other personal documents. After committing this act both suspects fled the scene on the scooter. Detectives are asking anyone who has information in connection with this investigation to get in contact with them by calling 54-22222 ext. 213/214 or dial 911.
Youngsters in Back street fight investigation arrested
Detectives at the Youth and Morals department have reported that a third and fourth suspects in the ongoing Back Street Fight investigation has been arrested. The 15 year old suspect identified with initials J.A.B. was arrested on Monday morning and 17 year old suspect identified with initials P.P. arrested on Tuesday were questioned in connection with this case. The 15 year old suspect was also questioned in connection with a case of theft of a telephone at Diamond Casino belonging to an elderly man. After questioning both suspects they were released. Both investigations are still ongoing.
Detectives of the Robbery Division on Monday November 18 arrested a male suspect identified with initials K.B. in connection with two separate break-in investigations and the theft of a vehicle. The suspect was arrested at the Philipsburg Police Head Quarters where he was brought in for another unrelated investigation. The suspect remains in police custody for questioning and further investigation.
