Attempted burglary, police intervene and arrested one men
On Sunday, August 13th at approximately 01.10 a.m. the Emergency Dispatch received a call of an ongoing burglary at a popular bar located at Back Street. When the patrol arrived on the scene they noticed that a window of the establishment was and informed to the Emergency Dispatch concerning the ongoing burglary.
While on the crime scene the investigating officers noticed a suspicious man walking away from the bar and as soon as the police officers identified themselves, he took off running in the direction of Front Street. The officers immediately started the pursuit and were successful in catching the suspect.
A.B. (26) was arrested on the scene and taken to the Police Station for further investigation. The Police want to thank the community for calling the emergency number 911 and giving the police the right information that lead to the arrest of the suspect.
Ill treatment with weapon, one man in police custody
On Sunday, August 13th, a patrol was directed to Dutch Quarter for a dispute between a man and a woman. The brother of the man was trying to mediate between parties which turned physical. The situation got out of hand at which time one of the brothers took a knife and stabbed the other.
He victim needed medical attention and was brought to the Police Head Quarters where he given First Aid by the Paramedics. The suspect M.M.L. was arrested on the scene and brought to the police station for further investigation and remains in police custody.

Home invasion Belvedere

Yesterday, August 14th at approximately 01.00 p.m. police patrols were sent to a home in Belvedere where according to reports three unknown men armed with guns forced themselves into a house while the owner was home with a friend.
The intruders held both persons hostage and demanded they hand over all the money in their possession. During this invasion shots were fired by the suspects. Fortunately nobody was injured. All three suspects fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash

Two men arrest for stealing tires
In the early morning hours, on Tuesday August 15th, two men were caught in the act while stealing tires from a car parked on Lettuce Road in South Reward. The patrol arrived on the scene and the two young men attempted to avoid being caught by running away and hiding in vehicle belonging to one of the suspects and which was parked close by.

The police officers arrested both suspects and took them to the Philipsburg Police Head Quarters where they remain in custody for further investigation. The stolen tires and the vehicle of the suspect were confiscated for further investigation.
